Database Configuration for MailMarshal/SEG, ECM, and WebMarshal

The MailMarshal/SEG, ECM, and WebMarshal products use Microsoft SQL Server or SQL Express to store configuration and reporting data. As an alternative to the installer versions that include SQL Express, you can download the SQL Express package from this page. (For a full list of supported SQL versions, see documentation for each product release.)

To view detailed configuration instructions for the database applictions when used with these products, please see the following Trustwave Knowledge Base articles:

  • Q10829 Should SQL Express or SQL Server be used with SEG and ECM?

  • Q11018 How do I configure Microsoft SQL to work with MailMarshal SMTP?
  • Q11848 Installing SQL Express with WebMarshal 6.X

Prerequisite Download

Note: After installing or upgrading SQL Server, please refer to the configuration instructions above for additional required steps.

For MailMarshal 10.X, Trustwave SEG 8.X, WebMarshal 7.X, and ECM 7.2

  • on any workstations where MailMarshal Reports is installed
